Set your affection on things above

Brethren, when we allow ourselves to become so busy fighting the little fires of our life's problems and difficulties that we interrupt the work that we do in the service of the Lord; we have allowed ourselves to become too busy.

Jesus said, And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desire for worldly things entering in, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

Paul said, Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Let us therefore put the work of God above our own works and our labor for Christ ahead of all other labors.

Amen.
